  • 17th Annual FFFK Golf Tournament

We had another successful Fairways For Foster Kids Golf Tournament at the Manteca Golf Course. This was our 17th year! We had 3 tournaments over 3 Fridays in October. The golfers (over 150 of them!) enjoyed time before the tournament at the driving range, games, prizes, a raffle, silent auction & grilled hot dog lunch. We are so thankful for the sponsors and all the donated items, so we could use the proceeds to benefit all the kids in foster care that we support. We raised over $40,000!

Thanks so much specifically to Teeples Plumbing & USGA, Inc. for being tournament sponsors, All Bay Area Glass and Manteca Trailer & Motorhome LLC. for being our dinner sponsors, and USGA, Inc for also being our shirt sponsor. We also received many donated items, from Golf tees, bottle openers, to gift baskets and shirts and hats.

  • Tri-Valley Jail ’n Bail 2021

    Tri-Valley Jail ’n Bail 2021

What a great event raising money for the foster kids of Agape Villages! Our annual Jail ‘n Bail event on October 21st did not disappoint and we raised almost $14,000! We are truly so thankful for everyone who donated and supported the event. We all enjoyed food, drinks, and great company as donors and friends dressed up in jail costumes and went to jail to raise funds for the kids. They posted their pictures on social media, called family & friends and asked for bail money. Our judges were harsh and threw the book at many of our jailbirds.

A huge thank you to Todd Utical, owner of SideTrack Bar + Grill, for once again donating his patio space. And to Kathy Narum and Randy Brown for donating their time as judges.

  • Kevin Youngblood – A Continuing Champion for Children

Kevin Youngblood – A Continuing Champion for Children

We highlighted Kevin Youngblood, President of USGA, Inc., in our March 2020 newsletter for the many ways he supports Agape, both financially and with his time and enthusiasm. Since then, Kevin has continued his very active role as a passionate advocate for the children at Agape. Notably Kevin was instrumental in our golf tournament last October being so successful. USGA, Inc. was the Shirt Sponsor of the tournament. Kevin personally recruited 12 foursomes to play at the tournament. He was responsible for 6 companies being corporate sponsors. At the end of the tournament, he even “passed the hat,” raising nearly $1,000. All total, through Kevin’s efforts, more than $16,000 was raised through the golf tournament. And he hasn’t stopped there. As Agape has struggled with fundraising due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kevin has continued to be a very generous donor. And when an extra hand is needed for something, Kevin is there. Thanks, Kevin, for your on-going support of Agape. You are truly a Champion for Children.

  • Twin Boys

    Twin Boys

We got a call for two twin boys. They were born prematurely to a mother who tested positive for drugs. Both were in the NICU for weeks before being placed with a loving Agape family. Yes, the boys had typical issues due to the drug use of their mother including being low birth weight, but our resource parents nurtured them through this.

As of 6 months of age, the boys are meeting their age appropriate developmental milestones. They are happy boys and have grown a lot!

The boys’ birth mother has since dropped out of touch. It’s possible parental rights will be severed. If that happens, our resource family would love to adopt the kids. We can’t be sure what the future holds, but we are sure the kids are well cared for with us!

    Amazing Former Foster Youths

We have had a number of foster youths that have gone on to become amazing adults. We are thankful for the many success stories that Agape has been part of, like Anjru De Leon.

Anjru is a student at San Joaquin Delta College. He is student body Vice President. Alongside law and politics, he enjoys vigorous physical activities such as volleyball and cross country running. He is already involved in helping others and plans to continue that into the future. We’re very proud of you, Anjru.
